ReachUP Day!
Celebrating 10 years of UtahPresents
This fall marks a major milestone – 10 years of UtahPresents bringing unforgettable performances and educational experiences of the arts to students across Utah! To celebrate, we’re launching a brand-new event: ReachUP Day, taking place on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 11:00am – 2pm.
We invite your students to attend a free matinee performance by Ballet Hispánico, followed by complimentary lunch and interactive activities hosted by our University of Utah campus partners. These experiences are designed to allow students (focused on those in junior high and high school) to envision themselves as part of a college environment while engaging with the arts in meaningful ways.

Campus Tour with the University of Utah Admissions Office
200 S Central Campus Dr, Salt Lake City, UT 84112
Recommended for grades 9–12th
Students will take a guided tour of the University of Utah campus, led by the Admissions Office. This experience includes a walk-through of key areas of the main campus, where students will learn about the University’s history, academic programs, buildings, and student resources. It’s an ideal introduction for high school students considering higher education and exploring college life.

ProtoSpace Lab Interactive Tour at the J. Willard Marriott Library
295 S 1500 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84112Recommended for grades 8–12th
Students will tour the ProtoSpace™ lab, located on Level 2 of the J. Willard Marriott Library. This innovative space offers hands-on learning experiences in digital scholarship and fabrication. Highlights include podcasting booths, virtual reality and spatial computing workstations, GIS and data visualization tools, a materials collection, a visualization wall, and services such as 3D printing and fabrication. A great introduction to a cutting-edge technology and interdisciplinary learning resource here on the University of Utah campus.

Gittins Gallery Tour and Zine Art-Making Activity
Fine Arts Building, 1530 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84112
Recommended for grades 7-12th
Students will tour the newly constructed Alvin Gittins Gallery, which showcases artwork from diverse disciplines such as Art Teaching, Book Arts, Ceramics, Graphic Design, Illustration, Painting and Drawing, Photography, Printmaking, and Sculpture. Following the tour, students will participate in a hands-on zine-making activity, creating their own small, self-published booklets focused on personal expression or niche topics.

Dance Class with Tanner Dance at the Marriott Center for Dance
330 S 1500 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84112Limited to 50 students in grades 2nd-6th
Held at the Marriott Center for Dance, this class is led by instructors from Tanner Dance and introduces students to the fundamentals of creative movement. The session emphasizes the joy of dancing, with activities that explore body shapes, spatial awareness, rhythm, and movement qualities. Age-appropriate exercises help students engage their imagination while developing physical coordination and expression.

All activities have limited capacity (100 students per activity except the Dance Class with Tanner Dance), so early registration is strongly encouraged! There is no cost to attend, and transportation reimbursement is available for schools that meet our financial aid guidelines. Please Note: Requests for ReachUP day activities are reviewed based on group size and the availability of our partners. Submitting a registration request for ReachUP day does not guarantee admission to lunch or activities. Groups will be notified by September 8, 2025, regarding their request and MUST confirm participation by September 15th.
